Will Ferrell has been announced to voice a character in The Lego Movie 3. The sequel to The Lego Movie (2014) and The Lego Batman Movie (2017), The Lego Movie 3 is currently in development with focus on a 2022 release. It was reported that Warner Bros. is still looking for a director for the third instalment.
The original film was directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who are not attached to the project, but are producing through their LEGO Movie franchise production company, Lord Miller. LEGO Batman director Chris McKay is also returning to produce the third movie. Warner Bros. has not announced any details about the plot of The Lego Movie 3.
The news of Will Ferrell’s involvement follows the news that he will also be appearing in another upcoming movie, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, which is set to release on June 26, 2020.
