After two years touring, she returned to San Francisco and finished high school.

Adams began her stage career at age 18 in 1891, playing “Ingomar” in Benjamin Hooker’s production of “The Hearts of Oak”, and then toured with other stock companies. Three years later, she played Maid Marian in Robin Hood.

Haley Mills won a Golden Globe and an Award of the Young Artist Foundation for her performance as Maude in El Dorado.
