J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling is the author of the Harry Potter novels, which were adapted into a film series by Warner Bros. Pictures. The films star Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. Rowling wrote the screenplays for the first two films in the series, and also served as an executive producer on the films.

Warner Bros.

The Harry Potter movies were produced by Warner Bros. The first movie, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” was released in 2001. The last movie, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” was released in 2011.

David Heyman

David Heyman is a British film producer and the founder of Heyday Films. He is best known for producing all eight of the Harry Potter films, based on the novels by J. K. Rowling.

Heyman’s first film production was I Want You, a 1992 British romantic comedy starring Rachel Weisz and Mackenzie Crook. He went on to produce several more British films before moving to Hollywood in 1997.

Heyman’s breakthrough came in 1999 with the release of the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The film was a massive success and Heyman reprised his role as producer for all seven of its sequels.

In addition to his work on the Harry Potter series, Heyman has produced a number of other successful films including Gravity (2013), Paddington (2014) and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016). He is currently working on several new projects, including an adaptation of the popular video game Minecraft.

Chris Columbus

The Harry Potter movies were directed by several different directors over the course of the series, but the first two movies were helmed by Chris Columbus. Columbus is best known for directing blockbusters like Home Alone and Mrs. Doubtfire, but he also has a long history with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. He was attached to the project even before the first book was published, and he worked closely with Rowling to make sure that the films stayed true to her vision.

Alfonso Cuarón

Alfonso Cuarón is a Mexican film director, screenwriter, and producer. He directed, wrote, and produced the third installment of the Harry Potter film series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). He is also known for his work on children’s films such as A Little Princess (1995) and for his dystopian science fiction thrillers, Children of Men (2006) and Gravity (2013), the latter of which earned him the Academy Award for Best Director.

Mike Newell

The fourth Harry Potter movie, Goblet of Fire, was directed by Mike Newell. Newell is a British director whose other credits include Donnie Brasco and Mona Lisa Smile.

David Yates

David Yates is a British film director and producer. He has directed four of the eight Harry Potter films, making him the most successful filmmaker in the series. His most recent Harry Potter film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” grossed more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office, becoming the third highest-grossing film of all time.

The movies would not have been possible without the hard work of everyone involved. From the actors who brought the characters to life, to the set designers who created the magical places, to the special effects artists who made the magic happen, everyone played a vital role in making the Harry Potter movies into the classics they are today.
